Who in the right mind starts writing about music, and then writes about a relatively unknown transcription of a piece by none other than Schoenberg ? I must tell you that I do not like reinvented Bach. Then why start the series with a Bach transcription ? Because this one is Dazzling. This one deserves to be the first. Before we go to Schoenberg’s version, it’s important to talk about the original Prelude and Fugue....
Why do I write about music ?
A little bit about myself. I am not a musician by training nor by profession. I am just very lucky to have been exposed to very rich music. I always enjoyed sound, a little bit too much. First time when I heard Bach, I couldn’t believe such music was possible, and that awe still exists in me (like millions of people around the world) Listening to music is at the same time very easy and extremely difficult for me - infact, I could not listen to Beethoven for a very long time, and then I just couldn’t stop....
